Little Heroes

Ages 3.5 - 5
My child sometimes has a temper. Will martial arts help?
Yes. We teach children about respect to themselves and others. Being able to release their pent up energy by being physical on the mats is encouraged. Shouting HI-YA in class helps let out some of that pent up emotions.
Will learning martial arts help my child interact with others?
Yes. Sometimes kids at this age are not aware of their own body and strength. Martial arts teaches children to be aware of their body so they can play nicely with others.
My child gives up easily. I want them to not give up when things get hard. Will studying martial arts help that?
Yes. Martial arts teaches patience, self control, and a never give up attitude. Not understanding something is ok. Trying again and asking for help along the way are strongly encouraged.

Kids classes

Ages 6 - 12
How will martial arts training help my child in school?
Martial arts teaches respect, self discipline and focus. Our environment and instructors teach them to focus even when distractions are present.
I don’t want my child fighting or using their skills in a bad way. Will martial arts make them do that?
No. Kids that do martial arts are more calm, balanced and patient. They have a safe place in the gym to let our their energy and frustrations whereas kids that do not have a safe venue, tend to take it out in places they should not.
My child does not like sports. Will they like martial arts?
A lot of kids love martial arts because it is a physical and mental sport. Kids that are more mentally focused and not as physical enjoy the discipline and arts side of our sport. Those kids do not even realize how active they are being. While kids that are more physical do not even realize how much of their mind they are using while being active. It’s a win-win for all kids!

TEEN MARTIAL ARTS

Ages 13 - 17
My teenager gives up too easily all the time. How will martial arts training help?
Our instructors teach a never give up attitude. We will help show your teen the value of sticking with an activity or goal. But a lot of times teens quit because they are bored. Our classes are always high energy and a lot of fun, taught by qualified instructors that make the classes inclusive for everyone.
My teen always feels bullied or shy around others. How can studying martial arts help?
Teens that train in martial arts carry themselves with confidence and self esteem. We do not how long it will take for them to develop that but it will happen. With that confidence, they will be less of a target. They will also know how to defend themselves if they need to.
I was never an athlete growing up. Can I do martial arts?
Yes. Everyone starts as a white belt and we help tailor the training to your needs. Any person at any fitness level is welcome into the classes.

Adult classes

Why is martial arts a good workout for people who want to lose weight?
Every martial arts class focuses on a cardiovascular workout combined with muscle toning. Building muscle also increases your metabolism so pounds can come off quicker.
I tend to be shy and trying new things as an adult is hard. Will this be too intense or intimidating?
No. We are proud of our positive instruction and inclusive environment. Each person is welcomed and met where they are at in their fitness journey and life. It’s always funny that adults think they are going to be paired up against a black belt who will use them as their next punching bag. All of our students are taught to help out a new beginner because they have been there too. Egos are left at the door and everyone is here to be humble and grow.

After School Program

Before & After School Childcare
How is your childcare program different from others?
We are fortunate to have a large floor space for kids to be active in. Parents are busy and when you are done with work, we know you want to go home and rest. Having your child already done their after school sports while at childcare saves you time, energy and money.
My child struggles at school. Will martial arts help?
Yes. A lot of times kids are not burning off enough energy. They need to be active. It is hard to focus when your child is filled with energy and no place to release that. Kids that are in martial arts learn to focus while letting go of that pent up energy.

Birthdays

Who will be teaching the party?
Qualified, martial arts instructors will be leading the party. All staff are criminal record checked and have gone through our rigorous training program. They are responsible, caring people that want your child to have the best party ever.

What if my child wants to sign up into martial arts after the party?
We would love that! Our program is inclusive of ages 3.5 years and up. Lots of people join at different ages and stages of their life. Martial arts is for everyone!
