LITTLE HEROES (3.5-5 YEARS OLD)

Does your child need an activity that is both fun and educational?

Excel Martial Arts teaches life skills that will instill positive values into your child while they are burning energy and having fun!

Young children are active and full of energy. They crave structure and thrive in an environment where they can kick, punch and tumble and learn what their bodies are capable of.

WHO SAID PARENTING A SMALL CHILD IS EASY?

After having a few thousand kids come through our doors since 2009, we understand what makes kids tick at each stage of life.

Kids at this age need to learn critical life skills like discipline, self control and confidence.

Our gym setting provides structure but works with them at their current age. Having fun while learning these important life lessons will help them retain these skills into their older ages.

RESULTS WITH EVERY CLASS!

Each and every class is important at this age. They are growing and learning all the time and it is hard to predict when a lesson will sink in, but there is a much higher chance of the lesson sinking in while they are active. When your child is buzzing around at home, it can be hard to capture their attention. But while they are working hard and burning energy in class, their brain is wide open to hear important lessons like respect and self discipline.

EXCEL MARTIAL ARTS BUILDS PHYSICAL AWARENESS AND CONTROL

Young children that practice martial arts learn to be aware of their body. They develop hand-eye-brain coordination that will impact them in all areas of their lives. Other sports and physical activities will come easier to them as they are aware of their whole body.

MARTIAL ARTS STUDENTS LEARN HOW TO FOCUS

Is your child a busy bee? Our environment has intentional distractions built in. We turn the music on and kids shout HI-YA with their techniques. Young children should not learn to focus in a perfect, quiet environment. They will learn to focus their eyes and efforts amongst the class. This way when they leave the gym, they will be able to focus in the classroom and at home.

That’s why kids who do martial arts, tend to have better grades.

MARTIAL ARTS HELPS KIDS DEAL WITH LACK OF PATIENCE

Kids have bad days too. Things in their life can cause them stress. Coming to class and burning that energy off can turn a bad day into a great one.

Setting goals from belt to belt and setting their sights on a long term goal of black belt helps teach them about success principles. Good things take time and patience to develop and learning that at this young age is critical.

KIDS LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WINNING AND LOSING

It feels good to win but it is a true display of our character when we lose. Kids learn that losing is a part of life. There are a lot of lessons in losing and kids that learn that at a young age know that losing is a part of the process on the way to winning big. Goals that seem too difficult for some people can be achieved by a person that has a never give up attitude.

Martial arts can seem like an individual sport. At our gym we cultivate a team atmosphere where we cheer each other on.
